Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney withup to five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent legal research abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation. Prior experience in medical negligence defense is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and trial preparation.
- Draft precise and well-structured legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Engage with clients to understand their legal needs and provide strategic counsel.
- Represent clients in various legal matters, including medical negligence defense, estate planning, and family law.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively in court proceedings.
- Manage and maintain case files in an organized and detail-oriented manner.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in NM or ability to waive in.
- Up to five years of legal experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in medical negligence defense is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
