Water Resources Engineer- Project Manager

Required Qualifications
· B.S. in Civil / Water Resources / Environmental Engineering
· Professional Engineering Licensure (Idaho)- or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
· Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in water, wastewater, civil design and/or water resources projects
· Strong experience in hydrologic modeling (1D & 2D)
· Project Management Experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Required Knowledge, Duties, & Responsibilities:
· Performing Hydraulic modeling and analysis using HEC-RAS
· Familiar with HEC-18 and HEC-23
· Strong understanding of hydraulics and hydrology in engineering design, including runoff calculations, open-channel hydraulics including application to bridge hydraulic analysis, culvert design and detention structure/BMP design principles
· Ability to generate detailed technical reports and documentation, translating complex engineering concepts into clear, concise, and comprehensible language for clients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.
· Proficient at developing high-value client relationships
· Proficient at leading and managing a portfolio of projects, overseeing planning, design, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
· Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing project scopes, emerging technologies, and evolving industry best practices to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of water resource engineering.
· Responsible for effectively communicating and engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders including government agencies, developers, and municipalities, to build and maintain positive relationships and address their unique requirements.
· Assist with and lead proposals to provide professional services. Able to develop project scope of work, budgets and schedules
· High attention to detail with ability to perform quality control and design reviews
· Exhibit high degree of independence and initiative in leveraging resources, experience and skills to problem solve and support client goals
· Ability to meet relevant performance metrics including but not limited to utilization, project budgets, and schedules
· Ability to supervise, manage, and/or mentor less experienced and/or direct reporting team members
