Package Technology Engineering Intern

This internship offers a dynamic experience with a primary focus on package material testing and analysis, as well as the opportunity to contribute to database management initiatives that are integral to our operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Dive into the exciting world of pharmaceutical packaging by conducting physical testing, collecting invaluable data, and providing insightful analysis to drive packaging design decisions.
- Gain hands-on experience operating and calibrating cutting-edge instrumentation used in package testing processes, ensuring precision and accuracy in our results.
- Collaborate closely with our talented Engineers to review and approve printed component artwork and printer proofs, ensuring that our packaging materials meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Showcase your creativity and problem-solving skills by developing a database tool under the guidance of our experienced manager, aimed at streamlining our departmental information systems and maximizing efficiency.
Preferred System Knowledge:
Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software systems, including Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Access for database management, and Adobe for document editing and formatting.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field, with a passion for packaging technology and materials science.
- 3.0 GPA or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week for the full 12 weeks (no vacation weeks) minus shut down the week of Fourth of July
- Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
