Job Title: Landscaper

Reports To: Field Manager
Job Type: Seasonal or Full Time; Primarily weekdays, however some weekends due to weather or demand may be required.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Wage: $17/hr-$22/hr
Job Summary: As a Landscaper you will be a part of our team providing quality landscape services for our valued customers. You will be responsible for ensuring Manny’s Standards are met in all areas of landscaping.

Primary Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including but not limited to chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, and dingo’s.
• Perform land clearing, leveling, and soil preparation activities.
• Properly dig and back fill holes for plants, trees, and shrubs.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns.
• Maintain a clean worksite, cleanup trash and debris, and utilize/take care of company equipment properly.
• Load and unload work vehicle with tools and materials.
• Assist in lawn care activities as needed.
• Perform all other duties as directed, in support of the overall success of the company.

Job Skills and Experience Required:

• Basic knowledge of Hardscaping.
• Basic knowledge of plant material.
• A basic understanding and knowledge of how to read landscape drawings
• Minimum one-year experience in the landscape/construction industry preferred but will train the right person
• Follow company policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Provide own transportation to work.
• Able to be held accountable and responsible for work results.
• Valid clean driver’s license (Required - Must be 18 to drive company vehicles.)
• Must be a team player, reliable and organized.
• Ability to drive a pickup truck and trailer.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others. The employee must have dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of this position and sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of work. The employee will regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to climb ladders of varying heights. Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects up to 100 lbs.

Lifting Requirements:

Heavy work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for medium work.
