What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Helper & Driver position at Manor Tool?
POSITION SUMMARY :
Position responsible for all incoming and outgoing materials acts as back-up to Shipper / Receiver when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Weigh and prepare all completed production for shipment using skids, shrink wrap, etc. to ensure integrity of product during shipment.
- Prepare and arrange for shipment all products for external operations, heat-treating, plating, coating, etc.
- Check outgoing product against shipping orders; record and report discrepancies.
- Prepare all shipping paperwork including packing list, P.O., labels, bills of lading, etc.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Receive incoming materials, products, etc. Check paperwork against shipment.
- Record and report shortages or damaged goods.
- Periodically perform physical inventory of materials.
- Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and documentation associated with the process at hand.
- Support ISO, safety and lean initiatives including LEAN and SHARP by working within established OSHA guidelines and continuously looking for improved efficiency.
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, departmental processes and product quality.
- Communicate all problems and other work related issues with supervisor.
- Maintain meet or exceed rating on performance evaluations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including mission, safety and attendance requirements.
- Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
- Other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by supervisory staff.
