Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our tax department, where you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating our U.S. GAAP tax provision. You will work closely with members of our Corporate Financial Reporting and Tax personnel to ensure the proper completion and consistency of the U.S. GAAP tax provision.
You will review supporting schedules for tax contingences, prepare consolidated analysis of key accounts, and identify and analyze complex transactions to ensure proper tax accounting treatment. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation of tax disclosures in the financial statements and assess the impact of changes in tax laws on our US GAAP tax provision.
Your responsibilities will also include managing the preparation and review of company federal tax returns and other tax forms, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax forms, and facilitating IRS income tax audits.
You will provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects, reviewing tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections, and staying up-to-date with legislative and regulatory tax law developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Experience with One Source and/or Avalara preferred
