Title : Temporary Human Resources Specialist
Location : RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA
Duration : 7 months (May extend based on your performance)
Rate Range : $$25 to $33 / hr on W2
Position Overview :
Under general supervision, the Human Resources Specialist – Benefits will complete a variety of specialized duties to support the daily functions within the Human Resources department. This position supports Human Resources programs and processes related to Benefits Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with Team Members and Management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and best practices.
Perform a broad range of administrative duties, using initiative and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential details.
Act as a trusted resource for the organization, demonstrating IEHP’s values while building strong internal relationships.
Serve as an HR Representative, responding to requests and inquiries in a timely manner or escalating as necessary.
Administer and process benefits for new hires, terminations, and other employment status changes.
Create and maintain personnel and benefits folders, ensuring forms are complete, accurate, and promptly filed / saved.
Issue general new hire and termination notification letters via COBRA administration program.
Ensure compliance with I-9 documents; collect and update information from Team Members as necessary.
Track, follow up, and update nursing staff licensing certifications as they are renewed.
Respond to calls and correspondence related to verification of employment, benefit letters, garnishments, subpoenas, and Public Records Act audit requests.
Assist Team Members with general questions related to benefits and HRIS systems.
Conduct new hire orientation and assist Team Members with completing benefits enrollment.
Support the preparation and execution of Open Enrollment.
Coordinate and assist with benefit and wellness-related educational workshops throughout the year.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required :
High School diploma or GED.
One (1) year of demonstrated experience in a Human Resources function.
Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
Preferred :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Key Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task, coordinate with others, and maintain processes and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
