About the Company
Under the direction of the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Psychologist is responsible for performing psychological assessments and providing brief evidenced-based treatment using the primary care behavioral health model to adults, older adults, children and their families in a primary care setting. This licensed clinician works closely with primary care providers to develop and implement sound treatment plans. Responds to and provides crisis intervention services when needed; Ensures behavioral health services are delivered in a culturally appropriate fashion and is consistent with State of California laws and regulations, professional standards of care, agency guidelines, and professional ethical guidelines.
About the Role
Successful completion of terminal graduate training program in a psychotherapy-related field : Ph.D. / Psy.D.in Psychology; Social Work, at an accredited university or college with at least two years of experience in a mental health setting; FQHC or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in Behavioral Medicine / Health Psychology Preferred. Certifications / Licenses Required : PhD / PsyD, LCSW issued by the state of California and a valid driver’s license and access to insured vehicle required. Experience Required (Minimum level of experience) : combination of education and years of experience as specified above. Sensitivity to multi-cultural concerns and the psychotherapeutic process required. Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job : Bilingual English / Spanish required, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job : Knowledge of rehabilitation and recovery treatment modalities. Integrated Treatment and Care for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Demonstrate ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate in working with minority communities. Demonstrate respect for diversity. Knowledge of behavioral medicine, health psychology, substance abuse interventions including IMPACT and / or SBIRT model strongly recommended. Exercise tact, objectivity, sensitivity, strategy and judgment in dealing with a variety of people with a variety of co-occurring disorders. Organize, set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, family members, other professional staff and the public. Computer literacy required and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Working Conditions and Physical Requirements : General office environment.
