Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic III, Maintenance to join our team for a 3-month assignment. This advanced-skilled role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance to keep production equipment and building systems operational.
- Diagnose and repair systems, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, fabrication, electrical, and CNC/PLC controls.
- Plan and coordinate equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity while reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance programs, including LOTO, Arc Flash Prevention, Fall Protection, and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Document and report maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and repairs.
- Fabricate and design brackets, supports, and other structures as needed.
- Lead the development and implementation of PMs (Preventive Maintenance) for various equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; at least 7 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with motors, motor controls, CNC/PLC control systems, and basic electrical theory.
- Strong skills in welding, machining, plumbing, and rigging.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain one).
