2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Rate: $33-$34/hour $2 shift differential 

Shift: 3pm-11:30pm, Monday - Friday

Duration: 3 months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic III, Maintenance to join our team for a 3-month assignment. This advanced-skilled role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance to keep production equipment and building systems operational.
• Diagnose and repair systems, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, fabrication, electrical, and CNC/PLC controls.
• Plan and coordinate equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity while reducing costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance programs, including LOTO, Arc Flash Prevention, Fall Protection, and Total Productive Maintenance.
• Document and report maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and repairs.
• Fabricate and design brackets, supports, and other structures as needed.
• Lead the development and implementation of PMs (Preventive Maintenance) for various equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; at least 7 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with motors, motor controls, CNC/PLC control systems, and basic electrical theory.
• Strong skills in welding, machining, plumbing, and rigging.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain one).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
• The noise level is typically loud due to manufacturing equipment.
