Data Science - Subject Matter Expert

Location : Tyson’s Corner, VA (On-Site)

Security Clearance : Secret (Candidates may start as clearable; active Secret preferred)

Compensation : $75 / hr (low benefits) | $70 / hr (high benefits)

Are you a Data Science expert looking to apply your skills in a high-impact, mission-critical environment? We are seeking Data Science Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join our team, collaborating with top-tier professionals to drive advanced data solutions.

Your Role :

Collaborate with customer teams and data experts to analyze, interpret, and apply business insights.
Train, validate, and deploy machine learning pipelines.
Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications.
Identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks.
Develop application specifications, documentation, and tutorials.

What We’re Looking For :

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree (STEM field required) – No experience substitutions.

Security Clearance : Active Secret preferred; clearable candidates considered.

Preferred Qualifications :

Advanced Degree : MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.

Machine Learning Expertise : Applied ML experience (regression, classification, supervised & unsupervised learning).

Mathematical Proficiency : Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.

Technical Skills :

o Time-series data analysis, cleansing, and normalization.

o Scalable Machine Learning techniques (MapReduce, streaming).

o Software development (Python, JavaScript).

o Git or other version control software.

Soft Skills :

o Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

o Excellent verbal and written communication.

Interview Process : 1️-Initial Screening

2️-Technical Interview

3️-Final Customer Interview

Requirements
