Description
The Data Privacy Manager is involved, properly and in a timely manner, in implementation of our strategy for our protection of personal data.
Making an Impact
1. Be available to respond to enquiries from consumers/data subjects on issues relating to the Company’s data protection practices and individual’s privacy rights and choices, including, but not limited to the withdrawal of consent, the right to erasure, access, etc;
2. Monitor the data privacy inbox and escalate and assign requests for support to the appropriate business owner;
3. Develop materials to support with Company’s data privacy awareness efforts;
4. Assist with compilation of evidence and responses required for client privacy assessments/requests for information and for client bids/proposals;
5. Coordinate in the completion of Company privacy notices;
6. Perform cookie banner compliance checks on Company’s applicable public facing sites;
7. Attend online meetings relating to business projects and initiatives to determine business need relating to privacy support;
8. Use Company’s privacy enhancing technology to support in the maintenance of company’s asset lists and records of processing records, based on the data processing activities of the business;
9. Use Company’s privacy enhancing technology to track, manage and close business responses to asset and records of processing risk assessments;
10. Track and monitor Company’s 3rd party vendor onboarding status relating to data privacy, including status of ongoing vendor privacy assessments, vendor DPAs (Data Privacy Agreements) and vendor related records of processing and asset assessments;
11. Keep up to date knowledge of North America privacy laws, EU GDPR and other upcoming privacy regulations, including guidance issued by supervisory authorities and relevant legal decisions that may impact the Company’s processing of personal data;
12. Inform and advise the Company and its people of Company obligations to comply with such data protection regulations, including laws with extraterritorial scope;
13. Monitor the Company’s compliance with the Law and with any other applicable policies in relation to the protection of personal data, including conducting internal compliance checks;
14. Liaise with global and regional data privacy leadership in relation to compliance with privacy law, and to assist in the development and monitoring of any local processes or procedures;
15. Respond to ad hoc Data Privacy control and governance requests, working on various projects and initiatives to ensure appropriate controls are implemented;
16. Support global and regional data privacy leadership with personal data incident management;
17. Provide context and present analysis for global and regional leadership.
Your Typical Day and Other Key Details
• Depending on your location, the role could be remote or hybrid. There may be potential for quarterly travel within the US. You will be autonomous in structuring your day to meet company goals. A typical day will involve using privacy management software (OneTrust) to manage the North America privacy program, meeting with stakeholders to understand and advise on data processing activities and helping with responses to requests for information.
Other accountabilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• Experience in managing programs or projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in Privacy, Information Security, Risk or Control & Compliance, Program / Project Management
• Experience in maintenance of records of processing activities.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage own workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate privacy and risk-related concepts to management, technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong aptitude, detail orientation, take accountability and ensure the business trust is established
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and demonstrate appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
• High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Flexible and adaptable and capable of changing direction where required and showing flexibility to meet new demands.

Nice to Have
• Experience using or administering OneTrust, or similar privacy enhancing technology.
• Knowledge of the staffing industry
