Mansa Hospitality in Northport, AL is looking for one barista/server to join our strong Courtyard by Marriott team. Our best-in-Brand hotel is located on 700 Bridge Ave. Our ideal candidate is regarded as an extremely hospitable person, self-driven, motivated, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food, prioritizing the guest’s needs
- Uphold and maintain the execution of the Marriott & Mansa Hospitality Food and Beverage Standards, all Proudly Brewed by Starbucks’ brand standards and food safety standards
- Execute food and beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, pulls, stocking, zoning, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, defect, signing and backstock
- Maintain an on-going awareness of all promotional activities within Courtyard by Marriott and Starbucks
- Follow all Courtyard and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while driving efficiency and maintaining food safety
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests all day, every day
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Brand standards
- Produce items to specifications on production cards and follow specific department routines
- Follow all food safety requirements as outlined through best practice
- Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practice
- Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach
- Engage with guests in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available at the Bistro, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- Thank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we’re happy they chose to visit the Bistro
- Complete all required trainings within first 30 days after hire
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards; comply with all safety policies and best practices
- All other duties based on business needs

- Proven working experience as a barista/server
- High integrity with a great attendance record
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Welcoming and positive attitude with a team-first mentality
