- Coordinate the daily operations of the dietary department
- Supervise and lead dietary staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Oversee meal planning, preparation, and service, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and local, state & federal food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the Dietician to develop and implement nutrition care plans
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage resources effectively
- Ensure accurate records and documentation related to dietary services
- Previous healthcare experience in a dietary or food service role
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary therapies
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, including experience working with customers or patient families
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Dedication to upholding high standards of quality and service
- Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning, and care of dietary equipment, preparation, and service areas
