What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Gas Scheduler - Hybrid Work Available position at Mansfield Oil?
The Sr Gas Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling, tracking, and reporting the flow of natural gas from our upstream suppliers to our downstream customers. They will leverage their unique experience to provide the organization additional value creation and preservation opportunities. A successful candidate will aid in ongoing, organizational process improvement efforts and contribute to the increased effectiveness of their business unit. The candidate will also be responsible for providing training and mentorship for more junior team members.
Responsibilities
Scheduling
- Provide analytical support to drive successful decision making
- Trend recognition
- Consumption forecasting
- Least cost analysis
- Operational risk identification
- Identify optimization opportunities
- Accurately submit nominations
- Monitor flow and identify flow restrictions, communicate and take corrective action as necessary
- Facilitate daily communication with suppliers, customers, utilities, and pipelines to verify purchases, sales, deliveries and disruptions
- Maintain meticulous record maintenance in our ETRM and other data repositories
- Support ETRM configuration efforts for new and expanding markets
- Support internal and external stakeholders with relevant data and analysis as requested
- Deliver financial settlement support, including shadow settling of invoices received from suppliers, utilities, and pipelines
- Be available for after hours on-call duty as needed
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of facility contracts and tariffs
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in business, S.T.E.M., or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years of experience scheduling natural gas
- Previous experience where critical thinking skills were required
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to quickly understand, isolate and resolve issues

Work Environment
- Hybrid work environment, 3 days a week in office
- Routine after-hours on-call support
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
