Jewelry Associate

Job Overview
Located on the beautiful Ithaca Commons, we have been serving the community with all their jewelry needs for over 45 years. We are a retail store that specializes in custom jewelry and jewelry repair with on site platinum and goldsmith.

We’re looking for a fun and reliable part timer to add to our sales and design team! We're looking for someone with the motivation to learn a little bit more about the jewelry industry as well as customer service every day. Daily tasks will include assisting customers with purchases, taking in repairs, answering phones, and other miscellaneous work that will help maintain a smooth and fun working environment.

Duties

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on jewelry products, including features and benefits.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing inventory and restocking as necessary.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new arrivals or special promotions.
• Ensure that the display cases are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

• Proficient in using POS systems for sales transactions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage stock effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Sales experience is preferred to drive product engagement.
• Excellent customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 29 per week
