ABOUT THE ROLE
Fast Company is looking for a creative staff editor to help steer our popular Work Life coverage on fastcompany.com.
This is a 3-day hybrid role (Tuesday-Thursday onsite), but applicants outside the NYC metropolitan area will be considered for a fully remote position if they are the right fit.
This position is represented by the Fast Company and Inc. union, the Writers Guild of America-East.
Salary range : $76,000 - $84,000 bonus eligible. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Helping to manage and grow our network of expert contributors, including assigning stories, managing deadlines, and editing several pieces per day aimed at both employees and leaders.
- Helping the senior editor shape the direction and coverage of the Work Life vertical.
- Managing a high volume of story pitches daily and developing those that are the best fit for the section.
- Ensuring that all our content is factually accurate and has a high degree of editorial integrity.
- Writing weekly for the Work Life section.
- Occasionally pitching in across other verticals on fastcompany.com, and helping with larger editorial projects and research, as needed.
