Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing & Communications Intern to support our community outreach and marketing efforts. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, community engagement, and grassroots marketing while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Facebook)
- Draft engaging captions and create visual assets using Canva or similar tools
- Research local events, businesses, and schools for partnership and tabling opportunities
- Help coordinate email campaigns and promotions for swim events and fundraisers
- Track social media metrics and recommend content strategies based on performance
- Support the promotion of special events, such as Parents Night Out, in partnership with Hope Floats Foundation
- Represent Manta’s mission in a positive, community-focused light
Qualifications:
- Interest in marketing, communications, education, or nonprofit work
- Strong written communication skills and a creative eye for social media
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms is a plus
- Passion for youth programs, water safety, and community impact
