What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Translator/Interpreter (Punjabi) - District Office, Student Programs, 2 hrs./day position at Manteca Unified School District?
Under the direction of the assigned administrator, the District Translator/Interpreter (Spanish) performs a wide variety of complex and responsible oral and written translation services; provides assistance to administrator to ensure follow up on administrative and clerical duties. MUSD works in partnership with families and the community to ensure a meaningful, measurable, student-centered program that aligns to grade-level standards, places safety as a priority, and supports all emerging students. Our diverse community spans the cities of Stockton, Lathrop, Manteca, and the township of French Camp. Our 25,000 students and over 3,000 staff members learn and work in a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative communication to expand the possible. We offer a variety of traditional and alternative educational settings for students and staff members. Our 30 schools serve students from diverse cultural backgrounds and from physical areas ranging from rural to urban. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. One (1) year performing written and oral translations.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification as a translator. College coursework Spanish.
