What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multiple Subject Elementary Teacher - UTK position at MANTECA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT?
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direction of the site administrator, structures, implements, and manages appropriate educational activities for language arts, reading, math, social studies, science, art, music, and physical education as outlined in district curriculum guides and state content standards for pupils in grades Kindergarten through 6, or a combination thereof, and assists in other school programs as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
1. Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university. 2. Credential or enrollment in an intern program authorizing teaching at this level in the state of California.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Multiple Subjects teaching credential.
2. Previous teaching or student teaching experience.
3. Highly Qualified under No Child Left Behind legislation.
4. English Learner certification.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
1. Completion of student teaching or enrollment in an intern program.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience as a teacher at this level in a public-school setting. Elementary Classroom Teacher, Grades K-6

10. Maintains a standard of professional behavior as an example to students.
11. Supports and abides by school and District policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Stand, walk, bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull. Move, lift, and/or carry up to 30 pounds to shoulder height.
2. Repetitive use of hands (i.e. fine manipulation, simple grasping, and power grasping).
3. Stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
4. Demonstrates normal depth perception.
5. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or typewriter, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
