Job Summary
We're looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join our team in King George, VA. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for assisting in configuring and initializing system laboratories, conducting Quality Control on procedures and completed work, and developing, testing, and installing computer programs on surface combatant ships.
Responsibilities
- Configure and initialize system laboratories
- Conduct Quality Control on procedures and completed work
- Develop, test, and install computer programs on surface combatant ships
- Provide technical support and verify media load cycles
- Resolve computer program build/installation anomalies
- Develop and maintain documentation for build/installation processes
- Implement new technology within the build and installation process
- Prepare reports summarizing ship and site build and installation results
Requirements
- ~2 years of experience with Navy's AEGIS Combat and Weapon Systems (AWS/ACS) and baseline nomenclature
- Experience and knowledge of UNIX and LINUX operating systems
- Experience with software configuration management, production, and installation processes
- Information Assurance Level One Workforce Improvement Program D0D 8570.01 certification
Physical Demands
- Periodic movement about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
