Mantech International seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer Test & Evaluation, Situational Awareness Boundary Enforcement & Response (SABER) to join our team.
About This Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that make a real impact in the field of defense. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical, engineering, and analytical services for Test and Evaluation (T&E) of Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement & Response (SABER) for navigation system software.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, engineering, and analytical services for T&E of SABER for navigation system software.
- Evaluate system level requirements and write test cases, scenarios, and test procedures to test the operational capabilities defined by the system requirements and mission threads.
- Work within a contractor/government integrated test team and support the customer with additional backup data, research and analysis to support test findings and recommendations for software certification.
- Up to 20% travel primarily to John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD, and Wallops Island, VA to support meetings and test events.
Requirements:
- 3 years general experience and knowledge of combat system test & evaluation.
- 3 years Computer Software Engineering Experience in any of the following areas: Test requirements definition, Test Plan/Procedures development, maintenance, and execution, Test data reduction, automation, and analysis, or Computer program performance analysis and reporting.
- 2 years of experience with developmental or operational systems/computer program versions in effect in the past seven years.
- 2 years of experience with cybersecurity situational awareness, boundary enforcement & response.
- Solid background/understanding of system software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science.
- Previous experience with navigation systems.
- Knowledge of shipboard operations and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
- Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
- Traveling within the continental United States.
