Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Directed Energy System Engineer to join our team Remotely to provide software support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. This is a Part Time position.
Senior Directed Energy System Engineer
As a Senior Directed Energy System Engineer, you will possess broad experience in all aspects of the theory & practice of high energy laser (HEL) and / or high power microwave (HPM) systems engineering, in order to support multiple projects. You must be self-motivated and work with little management supervision. The ability to clearly communicate technical information in written reports & briefings is highly desired.
Responsibilities :
- Work with HEL system technology and beam control, including laser safety, thermal management of the laser and beam train, and atmospheric propagation.
- Familiarity with performance testing of integrated HEL systems both in laboratory and outdoor environments.
- Work with high power microwave system technology and HPM subsystems to include power generation and antennas.
- Familiarity with performance testing of integrated HPM systems both in laboratory and outdoor testing environments.
- Perform system engineering of directed energy system programs. This includes; modelling, simulation and analysis, requirements analysis, and system and subsystem specification generation.
- Interact with Government and Industry DE professionals in the performance of these duties.

The projected compensation range for this position is $171,700.00-$315,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary / hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
