ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior VDI Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Design and develop Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including virtual machines, networking, and storage
- Establish technical standards for VDI environments, enforce architectural standards, and identify areas for improvement
- Manage and maintain VDI environments to ensure they are secure and perform well
- Perform troubleshooting to identify and fix issues that affect VDI performance
- Optimize VDI solutions, by focusing on properly allocating resources, to improve the performance and scalability of the solutions
- Implement security measures for remote desktop services and user access
- Build, migrate and test AWS & Azure cloud environments and integrations
- Perform VDI technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts that often include collaboration with vendors
- Offer technical guidance and training to system administrators
- Analyze system requirements and end user needs to plan future development of integrated infrastructure systems
- Coordinate with technical teams responsible for cloud hosting infrastructures to establish and maintain the environments used by the program for the development, test, and deployment of the demonstration capability and the final production system
- Manage database backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity measures
- Create VDI implementation plans and schedules
