What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agile SAFe Scrum Master position at ManTech?
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Agile SAFe Scrum Master to join our team in Ft Detrick, MD. This is a hybrid position with three days onsite and two days telework weekly. Expanded telework options are available for exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate both independently and in a team environment to ensure mission requirements are being met in a timely manner
- Communicate critical technical feedback effectively with various government and contractor support personnel, Developers, Business Analysts, Testers, Engineers, Operations Administrators, and Leadership
- Serve as a Scrum Master in a Scaled Agile environment, overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful program increment planning participation
- Manage two teams on the Agile Release Train: both running scrum
- Foster high-performing teams, bolstering strong stakeholder relationships
- Manage team tasks and remove impediments to ensure on time and quality delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems management or 4 years of experience in information technology systems development
- At least 2 additional years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master utilizing Agile, Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with Defense Medical Logistics – Enterprise Support applications and support of DoD medical treatment facilities
- Experience or knowledge of SAFe
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Scrum Master and SAFe certifications
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen and be willing and able to obtain and maintain a DOD Public Trust prior to starting this position
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and clients, which may involve delivering presentations ad must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
