ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator to join our team in Doral, FL.
Job Summary: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting to ensure database systems operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and generate SQL tables, unstructured data systems, and data transmission interfaces to the interconnecting system for which the prototype is designed to operate.
Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data models, schemas, and procedures.
Provide and manage security, user access, and security controls to protect the data management system(s).
Develop a digital twin data system that simulates the actual operational environment in which the prototype is intended to be used, such that the prototype can be tested in a simulated operational environment with command messages, sensor data stream interfaces, etc.
Design the data structures within the data management environment using MBSE models.
Provide planning and guidance for the Database Admin Team, reviewing work products and results.
Provide technical expertise in database management.
Develop and implement database backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
Masters degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
PhD degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
4 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting DoD programs.
ITIL certification.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.
Experience with cloud-based technologies.
Experience with Risk Management Framework.
Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
