ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented, Helpdesk Technician to join our team. This position is onsite, 3-11 shift and eligible for shift differential candidate must be able to work on site in Clarksburg, WV.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation and LAN performance.
- Provides answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.
- Improves client references by writing and maintaining documentation.
- Participates in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues and recommending instructional language.
- Accommodates client disabilities by recommending devices and techniques.
- Avoids legal challenges by monitoring compliance with service agreements.
- Improves system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
- Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of bachelor's degree or combination of relevant work experience
- Proven work experience as a network administrator or technician.
- Strong working knowledge of access, administration, application server, archival, and configuration management software.
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy technical equipment.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good reasoning and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around a business campus or large facility
