Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Navy New Construction Systems Engineer to join our team in the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard.
Job Summary :
This position is in support of NAVSEA PEO Integrated Warfare Systems New Construction. The employee in this position will provide support for new construction program reviews at the system and ship level. This position will be full time on-site with some travel to Bath, ME, Pascagoula, MS, Norfolk, VA, Moorestown, NJ and other sites as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Develops briefing materials, meeting agendas, minutes, and tracks resolution of action items
Provides technical and programmatic support on a wide range of activities and missions supporting Naval ship combat systems
Collects and analyzes data to monitor and track system metrics
Identifies, reports, and assists with the resolution of program issues
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university
3 years of experience completing Systems Engineering related tasking
Must have the ability to read, interpret, and comment on ship, system, equipment drawings, and diagrams
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Navy Surface Ship Aegis Combat Systems
Clearance Requirements :
Must possess a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
