What are the responsibilities and job description for the Navy Sea Trial Director - Security Clearance Required position at ManTech?
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Navy Trial Director to join our team in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Plans and conducts acquisition and analysis of at-sea acoustic evaluations.
Must be able to lead a team to completion of analysis and reporting of at-sea results and recommendations.
Ensures data quality in real time and uses personal judgment to determine the best path forward as an evaluations objectives change.
Prepares written, technical reports that identify emergent issues and works with team members to present recommendations for remediation.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Engineering or Physics
Previous Officer of the Deck (OOD) underway or equivalent experience
Three (3) years of hands-on, demonstrated experience with navigation and / or piloting safety working with U.S. Uniformed Services ships
Preferred Qualifications :
Five (5) years of experience with both submarine and surface ship acoustics
Understanding of acoustic measurement systems, in-water measurement arrays, the interfacing of hardware and the development of software
Established track record of project management of system development and integration
Demonstrated track-record of project management and successful task completion to include coordinating U.S. Navy ship operations with a test and evaluation program agenda
Security Clearance Requirements :
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
