What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal SQL DBA - Security Clearance Required position at ManTech?
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal SQL DBA to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Administering and deploying Databases using best practices
Administering, testing, and integrating database services within a Microsoft Azure based on-premises Enterprise IT datacenter and traditional Microsoft on-premises enterprise in accordance with best practices
Support Ansible Playbooks for application integration into multiple enterprise platforms
Diagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and / or technical challenges
Create and maintain system technical documentation
Interact with customers and independently research requirements from NIST, JSIG, and best practices which you will use to evaluate vendor products, analyze alternatives, and make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred; additional 4 years SQL experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements
10 plus year’s experience Architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, configuring, and deploying Database solutions
Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec , CND, SSCP)
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef and DevOps practices
Must be open to up to 10% local travel within the DC metro area
Preferred Qualifications :
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
Experience with on premises, cloud, SQL, and NoSQL databases
GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps or other code repositories experience
CI / CD pipeline experience
5 years of experience engineering in Federal Government networks
Clearance Requirements :
US citizen and Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
Candidate must be open to poly.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
