Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- This position will support the PMS 406 Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office providing technical support to the development and modernization of unmanned surface and underwater vessels.
- Work will involve providing analysis on ship hulls and superstructures, studying design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed, leading teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes, evaluating how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and changing designs as needed to ensure national and international standards are met.
