ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Laurel, Maryland. The position is part of a team that provides development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systems
- Reviewing and testing software components
- Resolving software problem reports
- Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
- Write or review software and system documentation
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
- Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software
- Debug existing software and correct defects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 years of experience, or four (4) additional years of experience are required in lieu of degree.
- Ability to obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: Security CE, CySA , GICSP, Security CE, CND, or SSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java 8 and Spring Boot for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
- Familiarity with REST APIs for building and consuming web services.
- Knowledge of Apache Maven for build automation and dependency management.
- Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Expertise with Docker for containerization and application deployment.
- Proficiency in Linux (BASH) for server management and scripting.
- Knowledge of Apache NiFi for automating and managing data flows.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
