ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester to join our team in the Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position.
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester will work in support of the Army for the Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). NetMod sets forth the work efforts required to provide product technical support services for systems and equipment being produced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). This support may also include future systems and equipment that is acquired for the Army to maintain its technological advantage
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers to fix issues.
Advocate for user experience throughout the development lifecycle.
Ensure software meets specified quality standards and customer expectations.
Develops strategies, goals, tasks, roles, responsibilities, and information needs for QA surveillance or test conduct.
Performs activities related to the analysis, design, development, test, and maintenance of complex software systems.
Provides technical surveillance or testing to determine the adequacy of the software engineering program to achieve design and development objectives.
Performs technical surveillance of systems and software controls and processes through in-depth review, test and commenting of software products.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Administration from an accredited university
10 years of relevant experience.
5 years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
Experience creating detailed test plans, scenarios, and scripts to cover various functionalities and user scenarios particularly documenting identified defects using a bug tracking system and providing clear descriptions to developers.
Experience formulating, coordinating, directing, and executing all quality assurance policies, tools, and training programs.
Experience conducting internal controls reviews to ensure product assurance competency and the effectiveness of surveillance activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with testing methodologies for embedded systems, integration testing, and systems-level testing.
Experience working closely with development teams to resolve issues and improve software quality.
Experience with providing updates on testing progress and communicating potential risks to project stakeholders.
Experience assessing the user interface and user experience for ease of navigation and intuitiveness.
Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and must hold a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
