What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineer position at ManTech?
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO . The position is part of a team that provides systems engineering, software development, configuration management and application testing support for a Weapons and Space software development effort.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyzing system requirements and leads design and development activities
Guiding users in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies
Providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations
Coordinating the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews
Developing system architecture and system design documentation
Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Interacting with the Customer regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts
Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
Communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives while participating in an integrated Product Team to design new capabilities
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree and 20 years of experience or 25 years of total experience
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Experience with software development environment
Security Clearance Requirements :
Must have a current / active TS / SCI w / polygraph.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
