We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive efficiency, quality, and team development.
Role Overview:
As Plant Manager, you will oversee all production activities across two shifts, ensuring smooth operations, quality output, and a safe work environment. You will work closely with the General Manager and have the opportunity to implement Lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all plant operations to ensure production goals for quality, efficiency, and safety are met.
- Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor supervisors and production employees to improve skill levels and engagement.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor production schedules, workflow, and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Drive quality improvements to meet the needs of cabinet and furniture manufacturers.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize processes and support company objectives.
- Manage labor, materials, and equipment resources effectively.
- Foster a team-oriented culture that values accountability and problem-solving.
What We’re Looking For:
- 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in wood products, veneer, plywood, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
- Experience managing multi-shift production with 50 employees.
- Track record of improving efficiency, reducing waste, and driving performance.
- Ability to develop talent and build a high-performance culture.
- Hands-on leadership style—comfortable on the floor and engaging with the team.
- Solid understanding of maintenance, quality control, and safety standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
