Position Overview:
We are looking for a Part-Time In-House Developer who is passionate about creating beautiful, high-performing websites and digital experiences. This role will collaborate with our design and marketing teams to bring digital visions to life, support ongoing projects, and maintain sites that empower our clients to succeed online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Website Development:
- Build and maintain custom WordPress websites based on unique client needs.
- Develop responsive, mobile-first layouts using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind.
- Implement advanced layout tools using Elementor Pro or custom templates.
- Translate design mockups and prototypes into fully functional websites.
- Front-End Development:
- Ensure seamless user experiences by implementing intuitive navigation, interactivity, and accessibility.
- Utilize JavaScript frameworks/libraries like jQuery, React, or Vue.js when needed.
- Maintain pixel-perfect design execution across devices and browsers.
- Work with CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less to maintain modular and scalable stylesheets.
- Back-End Development:
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Write PHP code to extend WordPress functionality.
- Optimize MySQL database performance and implement REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot server-side issues and configure site functionality as needed.
- SEO & Performance Optimization:
- Implement on-page SEO best practices: title tags, meta descriptions, structured data, and schema.
- Install and configure SEO plugins (Yoast SEO, Rank Math).
- Monitor and improve website speed using caching tools, image compression, minified assets, and CDN services.
- Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and Lighthouse for diagnostics and improvements.
- Website Security:
- Follow WordPress security best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities like XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection.
- Implement secure coding standards including input validation and output escaping.
- Manage file permissions and server settings to harden website defenses.
- Install and maintain security plugins such as Wordfence or Sucuri.
- Perform vulnerability scanning and regular audits to ensure client site integrity.
- Analytics & Tracking Implementation:
- Install and configure Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, and other third-party tracking codes manually or via Google Tag Manager.
- Set up custom events, goals, and conversion tracking.
- Troubleshoot and confirm data flow between client websites and platforms like Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and GTM.
- Version Control & Documentation:
- Use Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version tracking, collaboration, and rollback capabilities.
- Maintain documentation for custom functionality and plugin usage.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Regularly monitor client websites for uptime, broken elements, and performance.
- Debug and resolve front-end and back-end issues.
- Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins in staging environments before deploying to live.
- Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing strategists to understand campaign goals and technical needs.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure fidelity in visual implementation.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with account managers on client updates, timelines, and technical challenges.
Required Technical SkillsWordPress Expertise:
- Deep understanding of WordPress core architecture, functionality, and best practices.
- Experience in custom theme and plugin development, with a working knowledge of WordPress APIs, hooks, and filters.
- Comfortable working with the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) and classic editor.
Front-End Skills:

Back-End Skills:

Analytics & Tracking:

Elementor Proficiency:
- Familiarity with dynamic content, global styles, widgets, and conditional logic.
- Efficient in building fully responsive websites with Elementor.
