HVAC Apprentice
Reports to
Cultivation Production Manager
Function
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems technician to maintain and repair indoor air quality systems, such as air conditioners, system controls. This may include performing warranty services and emergency repairs.
This is a full-time position working 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday through Friday On-Site
Responsibilities:
- Ability to assist with maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Assist with cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- High level of communication to meet safety and SOP guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- To act responsibly with data that you may have access to as part of your role, adhering to the provided guidelines and policies and reporting any concerns or possible breaches to your manager and the Compliance Officer.
- Responsible for assisting in assembling, installing, servicing and repairing heating, air conditioning and other HVAC equipment.
- Remain current with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate as a strong team member.
- Able to read and understand schematics and work plans.
- Responsible for independently performing maintenance tune ups for cooling and heating equipment.
- Knows how to solder and braze and is familiar with installation of water heaters and potable water systems.
- Ability to understand and perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and preventitive maintenance of selective systems to ensure rffciency of operations in cultivation.
- Should have a strong command of both simple and complex mathematical concepts in algebra and geometry.
- Must be physically fit enough to work for long periods of time in crawlspaces, wall voids and attics.
- Operational knowledge of thermostats, evaporator coils, compressors.
- A flexible schedule and being able to report to a job site to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.

The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
