Dispensary Patient Care Advisor and Operations Technician

FUNCTION

SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position for weekend shift that includes holidays,and may include some weekdays and evenings. Must have flexibility in schedule to meet the operation’s needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Follow Grow West MD, LLC Policies & Procedures, SOP and fully comply with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission regulations of COMAR and NAV fulfillment.
- Provide expertise and knowledge to patients and explain the potential benefits of each product sold pertaining to strains of therapeutic cannabis, administration methods effects and uses.
- Assist in the patient intake process, maintaining confidential patient paperwork and patient records.
- Receive, prepare, and complete patient orders and sales utilizing point of sale inventory tracking and record keeping system.
- Handling cash payments, entering transactions into POS system while maintaining close attention to details related to discounts and patient allotment.
- Verify each patient’s identification for industry discounts as necessary.
- Identify unique needs of each individual patient by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and sensitivity.
- Ability to immediately address any customer conflict or complaint, inspiring long-term patient relationships and company loyalty.
- Ensure all information is correctly printed and visible on all labels before dispensing.
- Daily written records enable a three-part check system to ensure proper lot number verification against inventory pull system.
- Ability to answer patients’ questions about product COA’s.
- Responsible for job queue fulfillment and coordinating with vault personnel for pending orders.
- Maintain inventory control by inspecting lot and metric number for each product and label.
- Reporting all necessary inventory and product information in compliance with state laws and regulations to the manager on duty
- Communication of inventory levels ensuring adequate stock of products
- Complying with all documented security procedures to safeguard patients and products.
- Professional communication with suppliers, delivery personnel and co-workers
- Highly organized and ability to multitask during busy hours.
- Continuing cannabis education and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.
- Maintain private and confidential, sensitive patient information, must always be HIPPA compliant.
- Comfortable working with a variety of software’s including spreadsheets, dispensary compliance software, METRIC, and POS.
- Assist in maintaining a stocked, clean, and properly operational dispensary.
- Work in a team environment with close coordination with staff members
- Utilize Grow West MD, LLC record keeping system to maintain and manage patient records and inventory.
- Ability to assist in opening and closing duties upon request.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Travel may be required as part of the employee’s duties, including transport to processors, dispensaries, the grow, or other destinations as assigned. Able to stand for 10 - 12 hour shifts
