What are the responsibilities and job description for the Township Clerk position at MANTRAP TOWNSHIP?
Mantrap Township Clerk
Township residency NOT required
Duties include : recordkeeping, recording of minutes, claims processing, payroll, election
administration, and other duties as required by law.
Hours : 10-20 hours / month (on average; dependent on experience / aptitude) for regular duties
can be remote for most) plus attendance at meetings (approximately 16 per year)
Training : paid training opportunities available
Pay : $425 / month, $80 per meeting, $25 / hr for work outside of regular duties
Desirable traits / qualifications :
Knowledge of computers and office software including word processing and
spreadsheets
Ability to express oneself effectively in oral and written forms
Possess competence in organizational skills (time management, deadlines, file systems,
etc.)
Possess competence in attention to detail
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, Town
officials, and the public
Willingness to learn
Experience in judging or administering elections
