Job Title: Sales Consultant - Community

Department: Sales

Business Unit: Development Division

Markets: Baton Rouge 

Reports to: Sales Manager

 

General Summary: Leads effort to implement and execute strategy for a designated market. Ensures that we deliver the highest possible customer service and satisfaction. Assists leadership to understand the conditions that exist in the market, gives feedback on what’s working/not working and makes and implements recommendations to improve business. Guides homeowners with as much ease and excellence as possible through the internal planning process offering options and education in such a way that they are enabled to make the best possible decisions regarding their home.

 

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators): 

1. Business Development - meets regional sales goals.

2. Sales – maintain existing customers and future clients. 

3. Marketing – conduct market research

4. Organization – maintain organized schedule and customer work               priorities.

5. Team cohesion – display integrity and healthy communication with all          team members.

 

Business Development

  • Maintain current relationship and identifying areas of potential clients
  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them
  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
  • Collaborate with sales, design and marketing team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
  • Train sales to improve sales goals and meet expectations
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive

 

Sales

  • Regularly shops residential competition 
  • Networks and represents the organization in community events
  • Understands the uniqueness of client interest in a market with respect to plans, specifications, and options and makes recommendations on how to best position our product and service
  • Actively and persistently pursue leads and develop relationships with potential homeowners
  • Schedule and perform consultations with homeowners, assisting with making structural adjustments, selecting amenities and adding/removing options (conscious of client’s budget and style) for most satisfactory outcome
  • Maintain high-level of communication and relationship building with individual homeowners
  • Convert clients from leads to opportunities
  • Meet or exceed set sales (dollar and unit) goals

 

Marketing

  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data
  • Liaise with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and advertising copies
  • Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to management.
  • Create goals and objectives in order to approach customers through appropriate marketing channels
  • Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development

 

Customer Satisfaction

  • Actively develop a healthy customer-builder relationship through superintendents and direct communication when needed
  • Ensure design coordinators, superintendents, and warranty are regularly updating customers on home progress and setting effective expectations
  • Work in cooperative ways with customers or realtors, solving, anticipating, and preventing problems
  • Resolves conflict

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree 
  • 2-3 years business development, sales and/or marketing

Work environment and schedule:

Fall/winter hours are 9:30 A.M – 5:30 P.M. 

Spring/Summer hours are 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.


5 day work week 

  • Off one Saturday a month 
  • Closed on Sunday 
  • Additional work will be necessary during events, meetings etc.
