General Summary: Assists superintendents in the building and inspection of work and new home construction. Prepares sites for various construction tasks and assists with those in progress. Keeps job sites safe and clean. Progresses through the Super-in-Training program at a timely rate in order to move forward into the position of Superintendent.
Basic Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of construction or residential building experience, preferably in new home construction.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform tasks as assigned by superintendent, which may include, but are not limited to calling and scheduling trades/vendors, inspecting assigned tasks, updating homeowners or in-office teams, creating VPOs, submitting tickets through our internal software, confirming work was done to agreed upon scope and standards, etc.
- Report any problems, damage, hazardous conditions, and oversights to superintendents
- Keep job sites clean by making sure debris is contained in proper dumpsters and cleaning as directed
- Assists with motivating subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the level of quality and performance required to meet company objectives
- Motivates, coordinates, direct, and schedules the work of trade partners to achieve top performance
- Update job progress using the scheduling software
- Assists in inspecting all phases and supplies through construction schedule
- Works in cooperative ways with customers or realtors, solving, anticipating, and preventing problems

- Stays up to date on the basic concepts and methods used by trade partners including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC

Work Environment and Schedule:
- Normal business hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm
- Periodic night and weekend work may be necessary
