As a nonprofit organization affiliated with Lehigh University and supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s NIST-MEP program and Pennsylvania’s Industrial Resource Center Network, we are dedicated to driving excellence across our region’s manufacturing sector.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Leadership Development Trainer/Coach to join our team. This role will focus on developing and delivering strategic leadership training for manufacturing professionals in our five-county service region. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in interpersonal skills, such as emotional intelligence, communication, conflict resolution, change management, and team building, to help leaders enhance their effectiveness and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership Training and Development
• Partner with HR and operations teams to identify leadership training needs and address performance gaps.
• Design and deliver engaging training programs on leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and related topics, utilizing tools such as Everything DiSC®.
• Facilitate dynamic, interactive workshops using a variety of methods, including role-playing, case studies, and group discussions.
2. Coaching and Mentorship
• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to leaders, developing tailored plans for individual growth.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for leaders, helping them navigate challenges and enhance their management capabilities.
3. Training Effectiveness and Evaluation
• Assess the impact of training programs through evaluations, participant feedback, and measurable behavioral improvements.
• Analyze outcomes to refine content and delivery methods for maximum effectiveness.
4. Collaboration and Client Engagement
• Build strong relationships with HR and operational leaders to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
• Act as a resource and consultant to support efforts that foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
• Stay informed about industry trends, leadership development practices, and emerging training methodologies.
• Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance training offerings and adapt to evolving organizational needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering impactful training programs for leadership and interpersonal skills, including in virtual and in-person formats.
• Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to connect with and earn the trust of professionals at all organizational levels.
• Empathy, patience, and a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate training success and refine content as needed.
• Certification in training and/or DiSC assessments is a plus.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operations is beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Willingness to travel locally for offsite meetings and training sessions.
