About the Role
As a Tooling Trainee at Shuert Technologies, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication of making our tools. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious candidate with a background in metal fabrication and the hunger to learn. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing setting and the desire to learn and grow with the company.
This role involves cutting material for fabrication of tooling fixtures. This position offers growth potential for someone who is eager to roll up their sleeves and learn quickly. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, gaining exposure to various aspects of tool fabrication. As you contribute to grow in this role, you'll be encouraged to take on additional responsibilities and expand your skill set.
What You’ll Do
· Utilize reading skills to interpret blueprints, ensuring precise adherence to specifications when creating tooling fixtures.
· Take accurate measurements for cutting or drilling aluminum stock, playing a crucial role in the creation of our tooling fixtures.
· Demonstrate proficiency in operating various machines in the shop, including band and cut-off saws, MIG welder, hand tools and drills. Fabricate metal parts to assemble tooling fixture to completion.
· Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, while interacting with other departments to successfully accomplish tasks.
· Commit to safety, quality, and sustainability in every aspect of this position. Dedicate yourself to meeting industry standards and establishing new benchmarks for responsible practices.

Qualifications
· 0-1 year of manufacturing experience, with a desire to learn and grow.
· Ability to read a tape measure.
· Ability to read a blueprint.
· Basic Math Skills – adding, subtracting, fractions.
· Knowledge of using a bandsaw, cut off saw and Oxy-Acetylene Torch.
· Knowledge of using hand tools, air tools and electric drills
· Knowledge of using a MIG welder.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
