Human Resources Generalist

Immediately seeking a Human Resource Generalist & Process Leader in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We are looking for an individual that can lead both the Staffing & Training Processes. The ideal candidate will have exposure to some or all the following areas: training, staffing, HRIS, or labor relations.

We are an environmentally clean, manufacturing company. Using ingots of steel make at our Canadian facility, we reheat it electrically and roll it into the desired shapes and sizes of bars before shipping it. The company is private, has over 2,500 employees in the world, is consistently and conservatively growing & profitable, financially stable and little debt.

We pay a yearly bonus to all salaried and hourly employees based upon local MBO goals. It is paid to hourly 4 times per year and salaried employees twice per year, as a % of earnings. We have never failed to pay a bonus, even in 2008.

The US also has seven distribution centers (warehouses sales teams.) The US & Canadian operations both have very long, good, & fair relationships with the United Steelworkers Union. This is a great place to gain labor relations exposure in a positive unionized environment.

With all of our growth, we are looking for someone that has experience in some of the areas and is willing to learn and grow in the rest. Starting comp is targeted at $72-80k, which includes a base of $60-65k (based on experience), a bonus of $9-13k, and a 6% 401(k) match. Like other major firms, we have paid vacation, accrue sick time monthly, 10 paid holidays, three insurance programs to choose from, disability, etc.
