Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to oversee final inspection operations, manage ISO9001 compliance, and maintain a robust quality management system across the manufacturing site. This role requires strong leadership, metrology knowledge, audit preparedness, and the ability to support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of Final Inspection processes.
- Maintain and continually improve the ISO9001 Quality Management System across both company locations.
- Compile and present monthly quality and delivery performance reports for management review.
- Coordinate and manage internal audits, including planning, execution, and documentation.
- Serve as the point of contact during ISO9001 audits and ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Manage documentation for customer quality requirements such as Material Test Reports, RoHS, Code of Conduct, REACH, etc.
- Oversee and perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and generate Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and metrology tools; ensure all gages are up to date.
- Utilize and program CMM equipment for detailed dimensional inspections.
- Train new employees on quality-related processes, standards, and tools.
- Act as a liaison to customers during quality concerns, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Support continuous improvement by analyzing how manufacturing processes impact product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality management or manufacturing quality assurance.
- ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification preferred.
- Proven experience with ISO9001 standards, audits, and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and E2 ERP software or similar.
- Skilled in metrology, including inspection tools and CMM programming.
- Knowledge of materials, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and how they affect part quality.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work across departments and interact effectively with customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
