We are seeking a detail-oriented manufacturing quality technician to ensure the highest quality standards. In this role, you will manage non-conforming materials, handle customer complaints, and conduct thorough inspections to maintain product integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues.
- Investigate complaints and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials.
- Work with the production team to develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the return or replacement of non-conforming materials as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to finished products.
- Utilize a variety of inspection tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document inspection results and generate reports for quality assurance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
- Train production staff on quality standards and practices.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in elastomer fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across various departments.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and quality control equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
