• Position Overview :

As a Maintenance Technician at MMS, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery in accordance with established plans and schematics. This position is part of the MMS Mechanical Team based in Pekin, Illinois, and will require you to work at various locations.

Day Shift- Monday through Friday

You may be required to work weekends and overtime as necessary.

The starting salary will be determined based on your experience and qualifications. Range of $20-$28 / hour.

Responsibilities :

Under supervision you will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment. Activities include but are not limited to inserting shims, adjusting tension on nuts and bolts, or positioning parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts; repairing / replacing gaskets, seals, hydraulic hoses, packing, bearings, gears, chains, and belts; aligning machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, and rules

Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands / fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend / descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and / or greasy or slippery factory floors.
