Maintenance Technician II
Overview of Position:
As a CNC Machine Tool Maintenance Technician II at MMS, you’ll perform mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, sketches, etc. This is a mid-level position designed for those who wish to continue developing their skills and continue their career journey in the maintenance field.

Hours/Compensation: Full-Time, AWS 12 Hour Days
The successful candidate may be asked to work overtime on a regular basis, hours will flex as business requires. Starting wage range is $30-$33 per hour. Starting wage offer will be based on candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Requirements:Desired Qualifications:
To be seriously considered for this role, the successful candidate should have the following regarding:
- Experience: 3 plus years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent), Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged
- Skills: Successful candidates have basic mechanical skills with the aptitude to learn advanced skills and electrical skills. You should have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze information and to make an informed decision based on that information; identify root causes and corrective actions; adhere to all safety regulations and policies; and actively participate in job training opportunities for career development. You should also understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
- Experience with Siemens controllers
- Experience working on G&L and Cincinnati machines
- Characteristics: This position is supervised; however, the successful candidate should have the ability to work independently or with a team while carrying out verbal and written instructions from supervisor.
- Other requirements: Must have a valid state driver’s license, vehicle insurance and dependable vehicle. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of U.S.
Responsibilities:
Under supervision, performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
You may also be asked to:
- Support and back up other team members as directed by leadership
- Document work and update records in CMMS
- Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Provide inputs in CI activities-processes, results, and cost savings
- Perform checks of alignment and geometric accuracy
- Set up and operate simple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Perform basic welding tasks
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
