Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Real Estate Development and Property Manager to oversee the management, development, and optimization of our commercial real estate portfolio. This role will be responsible for both maximizing the value of existing properties through efficient management and driving the development of new commercial properties to meet market demands and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate development, property management, financial analysis, and tenant relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of commercial real estate holdings, ensuring the properties are well-maintained, profitable, and compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Development Strategy: Lead the planning, design, and construction of new commercial developments, including securing permits, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage annual budgets for each property, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures to increase revenue and reduce operational expenses.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market assessments to identify opportunities for acquisition, development, and redevelopment of commercial properties. Ensure that all properties are competitive in the market.
- Tenant Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, ensuring high occupancy rates, satisfaction, and retention. Handle lease negotiations, renewals, and tenant concerns.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate all development activities, from initial concept through to construction, occupancy, and ongoing management. Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Risk Management: Monitor market conditions and economic trends, advising senior management on potential risks and opportunities. Ensure that all properties are insured and protected from potential liabilities.
- Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design and energy-efficient solutions into both new developments and existing property upgrades to meet both environmental and financial goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Professional certifications are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate management and development, with a proven track record of managing multi-property portfolios and leading development projects.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate markets, leasing, and development processes.
- Expertise in project management, including financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and vendors.
- Proficient in real estate management software, financial modeling, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of zoning laws, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
