Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our client in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, month-end close procedures, and general administrative duties. This role will involve handling payroll, assisting with financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain detailed records of employee hours worked, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Coordinate with HR and department managers to verify timecards and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax laws, and benefits administration.
- Prepare and file payroll-related tax documents, such as payroll tax returns, W-2s, and other required reports.
Month-End Close:
- Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Prepare and review general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts and review financial statements to ensure they align with company policies.
- Provide support in preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis for month-end financials.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support:
- Process accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Assist in accounts receivable management, including tracking payments and following up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
Administrative Support:
- Provide light administrative duties, such as filing, document management, and maintaining electronic records.
- Assist with organizing meetings, taking minutes, and preparing reports as needed.
- Handle general office inquiries and correspondence related to accounting matters.
- Manage and organize financial documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Other Accounting Functions:
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support senior accountants or finance managers with special projects and ad hoc tasks.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting best practices.
- Help streamline accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, or a related field
Experience:
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience with payroll processing and month-end close procedures.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other similar platforms) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
