MIM's GRE team leverages its global platform and regional market knowledge to identify opportunities and drive results for its clients. As of December 31, 2024, its sustainably operated platform includes 90 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and multifamily assets located across Canada, the United States, and the Asia Pacific region, with approximately $20 billion USD of real estate (500 properties). The team is expanding its capabilities to meet evolving market opportunities, building a strong and diverse global culture as an entrepreneurial investment manager.
The Managing Director, Asset Management, US West Region, is the regional leader for Manulife Investment Management's Real Estate Asset Management team and its managed portfolio. The position is accountable for the performance of the region's real estate asset portfolio, overseeing development and execution of asset-level strategies. The successful candidate will lead a team driving performance on a multi-client portfolio that includes office, industrial, and multifamily assets. The position reports to and works closely with the Head of Asset Management, North America while managing the regional Asset Management team.
Responsibilities :
1. Regional market leadership and representation.
- Maintain strong senior relationships within the real estate industry to ascertain regional and asset trends and understand pipeline activity.
- Provide pre-acquisition input and recommendations during acquisition and due diligence processes, including thorough assessments on target properties / markets and review of financial and operational assumptions.
- Regularly communicate market-level insights and contribute to regular asset management reports for Portfolio Managers and Senior Management.
- Prepare and present regional results and perspectives for external investors as needed. Identify opportunities to improve quality and content of client communications.
- Identify regional opportunities to expand client relationships and grow portfolio.
2. Oversee team and regional operations.
3. Oversee regional asset-level financial performance.

Salary range is expected to be between
178,000.00 USD - $334,000.00 USD
